Hello Kindergarten families!
Welcome to Kindergarten! It's been a great first few days at school. It's been absolutely wonderful to meet all the new faces in Kindergarten this year. We have had a great time over the past few days getting familiar with our classroom and getting accustomed to new routines. As you have probably noticed, there has been A LOT of paperwork coming home recently. Please note the following items that have been sent home this week;
1.) All students have received a copy of the 2019-2020 School Calendar. PLEASE NOTE that the two Kindergarten classes alternate Fridays. That means that if the AM Kindergarten class has school on Friday, the PM Kindergarten class does not. On the calendar, the pink Fridays indicate AM Kindergarten, and the yellow Fridays indicate PM Kindergarten. Please refer to the calendar throughout the year. In case you lose your copy, it is located on the school website!
Tomorrow Friday, September 6th is AM or morning Kindergarten, and next Friday September 13th is PM Kindergarten.
2.) A package of school demographic information has also been sent home. Please read and return the: Demographic Form, Consent for Use of Student Information Form, Annual Volunteer Registration form (if necessary), Student Health Emergency Protocol Form (if necessary). Please request a Student Health Plan form if your child requires medication to be administered at school.
3.) A notice regarding our WELCOME BACK DANCE. Details are;
Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 6:00 – 7:15. Admission is free!
Classrooms will be open for a drop-in visit with teachers between 6:00 -6:30.
School Council is providing the music for the family dance from 6:15-7:15. Classrooms and hallways close at 6:30. Students must be supervised by an adult family member during this event. School council is hosting a ‘loonie canteen’ with a few treats for sale. Please contact school council if you would like to volunteer for the canteen. No food in the gym please!
4.) A notice regarding PHOTO DAY – September 12, 2019. They use a green screen, so avoid wearing green! This notice will be coming home today for PM students and tomorrow for AM students.
