Outside Tomorrow!

Hello families!

Today was a great day in Kindergarten! We worked on the letter F today, and practiced writing it in both uppercase and lowercase. We also visited the gym, and did some jumping, throwing and kicking. We ended the day with play centers, as well a story.

Tomorrow we will be going outside to work on creating the alphabet out of found materials. We will be using leaves, sticks and other nature finds to create a class alphabet to display in our classroom! Please ensure your child comes dressed tomorrow to be outside, it will be about 6° in the AM class and 14° for the PM class.

Practice at Home

Some of our work in Kindergarten is learning to be independent so we can be the best learners we can at school! One important skill we are practicing is taking off and putting on our jackets, shoes, mitts and hats. Practicing "zipping" up coats, and putting on coats by ourselves is great to practice at home as well! If possible, please help your child at home to practice getting coats on by themselves. This will especially help when the weather gets cold and a few more items will be added to the routine :)

Reminders

1.) Please bring back demographic envelopes if you haven't already!!

2.) If you would still like to bring a "toonie for Terry" we are still collecting donations!

3.) If you haven't already, please send a pair of indoor shoes for your student to keep at school. Please ensure the shoes are labelled with their name, and are suitable for gym/running activities! Also, if possible please choose a pair of shoes that your student is able to put on independently (ie. please try not to send laces shoes if your child is not able to tie laces yet.)

Have a great evening!
