Friday Forecast
Hello Kindergarten Families!
I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday! Next week is an exciting week in Kindergarten, we will be looking at the pumpkins in our classrooms, and it's also Halloween!
Week Ahead
We will continue to work on comparing quantities in Math next week, and build on our understanding of more, fewer and same/equal. Next week we will also reflect on our question "which pumpkin has the most seeds?" and actually open up the pumpkins and discover the answer to our question. We will also add some more pages to our "All About Me" books, and continue to celebrate our individualities. We will of course also spend a part of each day working on morning table work, as well as engaging in play based centers. Next week we will add a new play center as well - an office dramatic play area!
Halloween
Next Wednesday, October 31st is Halloween! All students at Cambrian Heights are permitted to wear costumes on this day, but please note the following if you would like your child to participate;
1.) Please send your child to school wearing their costume already (we don't have time to change/put on costumes at school.)
2.) Please ensure your child's costume does NOT include:

- A full face mask
- A full face of makeup
- Weapons of any kind (including swords, guns etc.)
- Gore/scary stuff!
3.) Lastly, please do not send any treats/candy to share with the class, we are not allowed to share or hand out food!
On the 31st, AM Kindergarten will get the opportunity to participate in the school-wide Halloween costume parade, and dance in the gym. The PM Kindergarten class will parade around to the classrooms and office as well, and we will set up a mini dance in our classroom after the parade. Both classes of Kindergarten will work on play center based activities that include some pumpkin and Halloween themes. We will also read a Halloween story, and work on some spooky art. Reminders
1.) Monday October 29th is photo retake day
2.) Friday November 2nd is PM Kindergarten
3.) Please check at home for library books! Students that had overdue books on their account must return their books before they can take out another.
