October 25th
Hello Kindergarten Families!
Today was another exciting day in Kindergarten! We continued to investigate the pumpkins in our room, and today we worked on measuring them with measuring tapes, and experimented with a scale to test the weight of the little ones! During center time, we also worked on painting images of the pumpkins with water colours.
In Math today, both classes worked on comparing numbers. We talked about the words; more, fewer and same/equal. Students were asked to create a set of blocks that was more than, fewer than or the same as Ms. Weir's set.
Practice At Home
Ask your student to show you more, fewer or same/equal using blocks, buttons, beans, lego, or anything you have at home that can be counted!
Reminders
1.) No school tomorrow for either class, it's a PD Day!
2.) A notice is coming home with the PM Kindergarten class (sorry AM class, we didn't get the notice until the afternoon!) about the Cambrian Heights Community dance on Saturday October 27th! You can go here for more information.
3.) Photo retake day is on Monday, October 29th
