Friday Forecast
Hello Kindergarten families!
It was a wonderful week here in the Kindergarten classroom. Both classes had tones of fun wearing our costumes for Halloween, working on pumpkin art and looking at the letter P this week. We also opened up our pumpkins today and yesterday, and discovered which pumpkin had the most seeds!
In the AM class, we decided the large pumpkin had the most seeds (sorry, Ms. Weir did not get a photo before we started touching the seeds!) But, we found it was difficult to compare because all of the seeds were different sizes! In the PM class, the green pumpkin had the most seeds! We also discovered that the big pumpkin we cut open didn't have seeds inside!
Week Ahead
Next week we will continue to work on play based centers at the end of our day, as well as fine motor, literacy and math based activities at the start of our day. We will be taking another look at the alphabet next week, and one of our centers will focus on creating a class alphabet to display in our room. In honour of Remembrance Day, we will also be creating some poppy art to display at our assembly on Friday. In Math, we will continue to think about our key words, "more," "fewer" and "equal." We will work on attempting to identify and represent one more, and one less.
Reminders
1.) Friday November 9th is our Remembrance Day assembly at 10:30 am.
2.) Some library overdue notices are coming home, please check home folders. If you have a notice, please look for that book at home. Let us know if you cannot find it!
3.) Next Friday November 9th is AM Kindergarten, and our last session of CAD for this round.
4.) Please continue to send home folders every day. Everything that comes home in the folder is yours to keep at home, unless it is a form that needs to be returned or is otherwise noted in the blog!
Have a great weekend everyone!
