November 6th - Remembrance Day Assembly Info
Hello Kindergarten families!
It's been busy in Kindergarten so far this week! Today we read the book "A Poppy is to Remember" and discussed the meaning of Remembrance Day. We also created some poppy art, which we will display at the assembly on Friday. We also have been continuing to work on "more, fewer and less," and tomorrow we will attempt to work on showing exactly "1 more" or exactly "1 less."
As mentioned in the last blog post, the Remembrance Day assembly is this Friday. Please see the below message:
The entire Cambrian Heights School community is warmly invited to the assembly. Doors to the gym will open at 10:20 AM for parents and community members to enter. We will be collecting donations for poppies for those who are interested in making a contribution.

Cambrian Heights School is proud to honour the memory of our veterans, on the 100th Anniversary of the end of the First World War. This year we will be holding our Remembrance Day Assembly on Friday, November 9th. The assembly will begin at 10:30 AM and will run approximately 30 minutes in length. Students in each grade have created art and music to mark this solemn occasion of sacrifice and peace. We are privileged to have Master Corporal William Hannaford, of the Canadian Armed Forces as our guest speaker for this assembly.

Reminders
1.) A fundraising sheet went home yesterday for wreaths! If you are interested, please send back the form with your student by November 18th.
2.) We are planning to go outside tomorrow in both AM and PM Kindie. Please ensure your child is dressed warmly! (We will stay inside if it's too cold, but hopefully it should be sunny tomorrow!)
Have a great evening!
