January 10th
Hello Kindergarten families,
It was another great day in Kindergarten today! Yesterday we did our first science experiment, which was to make crystals! Since we have been learning about snow, we created pipe cleaner snowflakes, and placed them in a solution of borax and water. We left the snowflakes in the jars, and are waiting to see what happens!
As we created our snowflakes, we wondered what might happen to them after we put them in the solution. We recorded our thinking on paper by drawing a picture about what we think might happen.
Today we worked on reviewing our "frog jump" capitals, and added a new one, the letter R. Here is the video we watched to help us understand what the letter "says" and how to write it, in case you want to review at home!
Reminders
1.) Tomorrow is PM Kindergarten! We will be visiting the library, so please make sure to send library books!
2.) We are still looking for volunteers for Scientists in School on January 31st! We still need 3 for the AM and 4 for PM. Please let me know if you are interested and are cleared to volunteer through the office.
Have a wonderful evening!
