We've been hard at work in Kindergarten this week investigating patterns and learning how to expand them. Today we talked about the "pattern core" and how identifying it can help us to extend patterns.
After discussing the pattern core, we worked on solving some problems to practice finding the core of a pattern and extending it. Here are the problems we worked on:

Reminders
1.) Tomorrow both AM and PM classes will be visiting the library, please send any library books with your student tomorrow.
2.) This Friday, January 18th there is no school (PD day)
3.) We are still looking for some volunteers for Scientists in School on January 31st in the PM class. Please let me know if you are able to help out!
PS. We will be painting tomorrow - so please try not send your student in super nice clothes! We will try our best not to get too messy :)
