Hello all!
Today was a great day in Kindergarten, we worked on our reading strategy of making connections.
We have been continuing to read lots of fairy tales, and today we read "Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs."
After reading the book, students were asked, "what connections can you make to this book?" We recorded our responses in our writing journals. Many students were reminded of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears!" We will continue to read some more "fractured fairy tales" to work on making connections between different stories.
Reminders
1.) Tomorrow is Hawaiian day! Feel free to dress up in any Hawaiian/beach themed items if you wish to participate!
2.) Since we have Scientists in School this Thursday, we will be visiting the library tomorrow in both AM & PM Kindergarten. Please send back library books! We will also be going outside tomorrow (if it's not too cold) so please ensure your child comes with hats/mitts/warm coat!
3.) Please send back signed report card envelopes by this Thursday January 31st.
4.) No school Friday February 1st!
