Hello Kindergarten Families!
Today was an extremely exciting day, as we had Scientist Louise from Scientists in School visit our class to set up a series of centers for us to learn about insects. We had tons of fun at the different centers, learning about butterfly metamorphosis, the different body parts of bugs, the ways they camouflage and how they eat food.
A HUGE thank you to all of the parents who volunteered today to help make everything run smoothly! Thank you so much!!
Week Ahead
Next week we will continue to look at bugs and insects during center time and Science time. We will also continue working on "corner capitals" in writing, and making connections in reading. As usual we will be reading a story every day, and continue with our fairy tale topic as well. In Math we will finish up patterns and work on applying our understanding to some more challenging word problems. In the gym we will also be working on floor hockey skills. On Wednesday next week the Grade 5/6 students will also be holding a learning celebration in the gym, please see the below letter for more information.
Reminders
1.) No school tomorrow, February 1st for all students!
2.) Please send back report card envelopes if you haven't already.
3.) Next Friday February 8th is PM Kindergarten
Have a great weekend everyone!
