Happy Monday everyone!
Today we read the book "We're All Wonders" as a whole school in the gym (in the afternoon.) Mr. Eakins was kind enough to join the AM class this morning to read the book to us.
Today we also talked about squares. We read the book "Square" by Mac Barnett & John Klassen. It was pretty funny!
After reading about square, and discussing how squares have 4 sides and 4 corners, we worked on adding a sheet to our shape booklets.
Practice at Home
We have been practicing trying to find things that are shapes in our every day lives. Ask your student if they can find anything at home or out and about that is a square! Also, think about, what shapes can make squares??
Reminders
1.) This Thursday February 28th we will be showcasing our work we have been doing with 3 Left Feet. A notice is coming home today regarding performance times - please check home folders!
2.) Fee notices have been sent home for some - please check home folders!
3.) This Wednesday February 27th is pink shirt day! Please wear pink (if you have it) to support anti-bullying
4.) No school this Friday March 1st (PD day)

We are reading this book to get us started thinking about kindness and community building, in light of "Pink Shirt Day" on Wednesday.
After reading about square, and discussing how squares have 4 sides and 4 corners, we worked on adding a sheet to our shape booklets.
