March 20th

Hello all!

Thank you to everyone who participated in Character Day! There were so many wonderful outfits.

It was a beautiful day to go outside today! We experimented with "bark rubbings" and explored the trees in our naturalization area with paper and crayons to capture their texture. We will be using these bark rubbings for some art...stay tuned to see what we do!

Today we also worked on a math problem to extend our understanding of shapes. Our math problem was:

I have 2 shapes in my basket. Together they have 7 sides. What shapes do I have?

We discovered that there could be more than one answer to the question, but inside the basket Ms. Weir had was a rhombus and a triangle. We also noticed that all of the possible answers had to include a triangle.
