Monday Forecast

Hello Kindergarten Families!

Today we continued to work on 3D shapes. We talked about the term "face" and counted how many faces some of our 3D shapes have.

We looked at some pictures on the smartboard to practice finding 3D shapes in everyday objects. After this review, students then were tasked with finding different examples of 3D shapes in magazine pictures.

Week Ahead

This week we will be busy getting ready for the play! We hope to see you there on April 17th. Please let us know if you will be attending if you haven't already! The dress rehearsal is at 1:00, and the night time performance is at 6:30. We will also take some time to work on the letters Z and X this week, before moving on to center starting capitals next week. Tomorrow (Tuesday) we will also be going outside for gym. Please have your student dress for the weather!

Reminders

1.) No school this Friday April 19th (Good Friday)

2.) Wednesday April 17th is our Spring Concert. Please let us know if you will be attending either performance, and how many guests will be attending (if you haven't already.) Here are the times once again:

1:00 pm - Dress rehearsal

6:30 pm - Evening performance*

* If attending the evening performance, students are to be dropped off at the doors by the playground at 6:00 pm. The front doors will open at 6:15pm for parents and guests.

3.) Home reading is coming home today! Please check home folders/backpacks. Please return the home reading bags by this Wednesday. Please note, if you are not getting a home reading book/activity today, I have not yet received the first one sent home last week, please send it back ASAP!

4.) We will be going outside for gym tomorrow!

5.) Next Wednesday April 24th is "Athletic Wear Day"
