April 2nd
Welcome back to school everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic and restful Spring Break!
We have jumped right bak into it here in Kindergarten, and have had a great past two days reviewing some of the work we started before the break. Yesterday we read the book "Red Riding Hood" and practiced our reading comprehension skills by doing a "sequencing" activity. This is building on what we worked on previously, which was retelling. In this activity, students were challenged not only to remember the events of the story, but to place them in the correct order using the words "first, then, and then and finally."

Thank you to everyone who has sent in beautiful stuff!! Today we took some time to look at all of the gathered materials in both classes. We started to sort it into different categories, so that it will be organized when it's time to use it. We talked about sorting, and reviewed colours, vocabulary terms like plastic, natural etc. You can see our shelves are now full of wonderful things to use!
Please feel free to continue to send in any beautiful stuff you might have throughout this week!
Reminders
