Friday Forecast

Hello all!

My apologies for not having this out on Friday - I was having technical difficulties accessing blogger but I think we should be back on track now!

The past week in Kindergarten just flew by!! We had our PM class's trip to Butterfield Acres and it too was a total blast! Thank you to all of the volunteers who were able to come with us - we really appreciated all of your help!

We also worked on some special art projects that I hope were shared with you on a special occasion that may or may not have occurred on this Sunday :) If you don't know what I'm talking about, please check your student's home folder/backpack!

This Week Ahead

This week we will be reviewing the "curve letters" during some focused writing time (C,O,G,Q) In Math, we will continue to work on measurement, and will work on solving a measurement problem in our math journals. Throughout the week we will continue to focus on our topic of "animal homes," which we will explore during center time, as well as during some focused Science time. In gym this week we will rotate between practicing our soccer skills in the gym, or using our new bin of outside equipment on the compound! On Thursday May 16th it will be class photo day, so feel free to come in a nice outfit!

Reminders

1.) Home reading is coming home today! If you do not see a home reading book in your student's backpack, it's because I have not received the previous book/bag. Please contact me if you are unable to find your last book or bag! Please send back home reading books & bags by Wednesday.

2.) No school this Friday May 17th (PD Day) and no school Monday May 20th (Victoria Day)

3.) Both classes will visit the library on Thursday - please send back library books by then!

4.) Thursday May 16th is class photo day for all classes!

5.) The Volunteer Tea is on Tuesday May 21st - please RSVP to Mrs. Andrews!
