Hello Kindergarten families!
We've had a great week so far in Kindergarten working on lots of stuff! On Monday we looked at the two of the curve letters - G and O - and practiced writing them on whiteboards.
Yesterday we continued our investigation of length in Math. We talked about comparing lengths, and ordering things from shortest to longest. Students were then challenged to search the classroom to find different items, and then order them from shortest to tallest!
We discovered that we had to line up all of the objects from the same starting point, otherwise it was difficult to compare them. If you have time at home, this would be a great activity to try again! You can use any type of item, toys, kitchen utensils, blocks etc. If you do try it at home, please feel free to take a picture and email it to me, and we can share it with the rest of the class! :)
Today we used ipads for the first time! We will be embarking on a research project about animal homes in the near future - so today was all about how to use the google microphone to search up animals.
