May 7th

Hello Kindergarten families!

It's been a super fast week so far, we've been busy in Kindergarten working on lots of writing and Math today and yesterday.

On Monday, the AM class reviewed our trip to Butterfield, and our PM class thought about what we might see on our upcoming trip. We practiced writing some farm animal words together as a class, then students then wrote down some of the words in a little book they are creating! We will be finishing them up throughout the week.

Today we had our first big discussion about measurement. We talked about different kinds of measurement, including weight, volume and length. After our discussion, we focused on just length, and worked to find items in the classroom that were longer or shorter than our popcicle stick. This was also a great opportunity to continue practicing sounding out words for writing!
