Hello all!
We've had a great week in Kindergarten. The garden center has been tons of fun and students have really enjoyed "digging" in our fake tree - so we are going to add some "dirt" to play with (we will be using beans instead of real dirt, stay tuned!) Thank you to all who sent in some extra flowers for our inventory!
This week we have been working on our research project for animal homes. Students have created booklets where they have been drawing pictures and writing some words to record their thinking. Today the morning class also used watercolours to create art about the animals they are studying.
Week Ahead
Now that Rocks & Rings is over, we will be back to our regular schedule next week! Our literacy center time and play center time will go back to being separate. When the weather is nice, we will try and do our gym outside as well. We will continue working hard on our Science research project on animal homes. In Math we will review what we have discussed about capacity, and work on a problem solving activity. Throughout the week we will also continue to review the alphabet, letter sounds, and some of the sight words we have introduced in our classroom.
Reminders
1) This week was the last week for library books to be signed out. The last day for home reading to go out will also be this coming Monday Please return all library books and home reading books by Friday June 14th.
2.) Please return the photo order form (for the school-wide picture) by Monday June 17th if you are interested in purchasing one.
Have a great weekend all!

We have also been talking a lot about seeds and checking in on the little seeds we planted this week. Everyone is very excited that the radish seeds have already sprouted! We are still waiting for the pumpkin seeds...
