June 19th

Hello all!

We've been working hard in Kindergarten this week, reviewing some of the things we've covered this year. We worked on practicing "I like" sentences yesterday, and today we reviewed the numbers 1-10 and worked on a problem solving activity.

We've also continued to discuss animal homes this week. Many students have brought in some really interesting artifacts that they have shared with the class. We had the opportunity to look at a crab shell that is a perfect example of an animal home! Thank you to everyone who brought in something special or sent a picture/video :)

Reminders

1.) This Friday June 21st is Fun Day and the Kindergarten Learning Celebration

The Learning Celebration will start at 8:30 am, parents/family members are welcome to attend!

Fun Day will commence after the Learning Celebration. Please note, only students that attend Cambrian Heights are able to participate in Fun Day.

2.) Today we participated in a presentation from the Calgary Public Library. A pamphlet about their summer reading program is coming home in home folders

3.) After the library presentation, students were able to visit the Cambrian Heights Book Exchange - put on by the School Council! Each student received a book to take home, courtesy of the Parent Council!

The book is yours to keep! If you like, you can send it back next year, when the next book drive occurs :)

Have a great evening!
