June 5th

Hello all!

We've had a great week so far in Kindergarten. We have been participating in "Rocks & Rings" every day, and are having a ton of fun learning how to curl. Please check out Mrs. Andrew's blog to see a post on what students have been up to with Rocks & Rings.

This week we had a conversation about what we wanted to turn our house/doctor center into, since we were getting a bit tired of it. The students came up with the idea of having a plant/garden store, and we now have it up and running!

The students wanted to name the store "Garden Center," so they worked together to create this beautiful sign!

For the past few days students have been having tons of fun playing at this center. They have made money for the cash register, and some pretend water (look inside the watering can!) as well as some lists for each kind of plant they are selling.

Since we have been so interested in plants lately, we also took some time to plant some real seeds in each class! We are checking in with our seeds each day to see what will happen...

Reminders

1.) A notice is coming home today regarding ordering school-wide photos. (Morning class will get the notice tomorrow!)

Please note, the order form is just for the school-wide picture that was taken outside. The individual class photos are free, and will be sent home by the end of the year (whenever we get them!)

2.) Please send back home reading if you haven't already! Please send back library books as well. PM class will visit the library tomorrow, AM will go on Friday.

3.) This Friday June 7th is AM Kindergarten!

4.) If any one has any fake plants/flowers, or any plastic plant containers/pots (even the ones that bedding plants come in) that they are no longer in need of, please feel free to send them in! We could definitely add to our garden store "inventory" 😊

Have a great evening everyone!
