October 30th

Hello all!

I hope everyone has been staying warm, hopefully we start to see some better temperatures in the next few days! Tomorrow both classes will hopefully go outside for a "listening walk" so please ensure your student comes dressed for the weather! If it's really cold, we will reschedule, but currently it's supposed to be around -2 or +1 for the morning/afternoon. Students who don't have appropriate gear may have to stay inside so please ensure your child is wearing a hat, gloves, boots and a warm coat!

Each month, the Student Voice club picks a "virtue of the month" and for October it is gratitude. We have been discussing what this means, and reflecting on what it means to have gratitude. Yesterday students read the book "Bear Says Thanks" to help them see an example of what it means to be thankful and have gratitude.

After reading the story, each student drew a picture of something they are grateful for in a speech bubble. We will be posting the speech bubbles next to our pictures on our virtue of the month bulletin board next to the office!

Reminders

1.) Both classes will be going outside tomorrow! Please dress warmly!

2.) Please send library books back tomorrow - both classes will be visiting the library!

3.) No school this Friday November 1st - PD Day

4.) Tomorrow is Halloween - feel free to send your student in their classroom if you wish for your child to participate. Please remember the guidelines:

- Nothing too scary, make sure the costume is appropriate for school and students can learn in the classroom
- Please send your student wearing the costume (we cannot help students get ready at school)

Thank you :)

Have a great evening!
