Today we tried something new with the letter M! Ms.S read us a story, "The Mitten." We talked about writing the letter M and how it starts the word mitten.
Today we tried something new with the letter M! Ms.S read us a story, "The Mitten." We talked about writing the letter M and how it starts the word mitten.
We also discussed using the strategy of looking at the cover to make a prediction about what the story is going to be about. Using "picture clues" is a beginning reading strategy - we talked about how in Kindergarten we need to learn to read pictures before we can read words!
After looking at the cover of the book, we drew a picture of what we thought the story would be about. We also made sure to practice writing the letter M!
Reminders
1.) This Wednesday November 27th is photo retake day!!! Please come dressed for your photo if you are getting re-takes, or were away on the first picture day :)
