Today we worked on our next corner capital - the letter U. We practiced writing it, and making it's two sounds. Ask your student if they can remember the two sounds that U makes!

2.) Report cards are coming home Thursday for AM, and Friday for PM!

We also read the book "The Umbrella" by Jan Brett. We practiced using "cover clues" to make predictions about what the book might be about. We also thought about the other books we have read by Jan Brett, "The Mitten" and "The Hat."
During our carpet time in both classes, we also started to look more closely at some 2D shapes. We talked about how shapes can have similarities and differences. Ask your child if they can remember what the words "corner" and "side" mean!
