Hello all,
Today we had a lot of fun discussing our new "School Center" today. We read the book "How to Get your Teacher Ready" for some inspiration about what teachers do.
We then worked together to create a list of supplies we need for our new center. Both classes thought we needed chairs, writing tools, tables and books. Someone even had the idea to add a calendar, since teachers need to keep track of the dates (what a great idea!) We had fun thinking about all the materials to add. We also used this as an opportunity for some writing practice!
Reminders
1.) Valentine's Day is next week! We will not be having a party/celebration, but students are welcome to hand out Valentine's day cards if they wish to participate! We will be exchanging cards next Wednesday February 12th. If your child brings cards, please ensure that;
- There is one for each student in the class (23 in the AM class, 22 in the PM)
- Please no candy to hand out
We will not be handing out class lists for names - please just have your child sign their own name on the card, and they can write the card to "friend" if they wish. Let me know if you have any questions!
2.) This Friday February 7th is AM Kindergarten
3.) Please return report card envelopes if you haven't already!
4.) We will he having a puppetry workshop at Cambrian Heights over the next few weeks. Both Kindergarten classes will have the opportunity to work with Wendy from WP Puppets. During our sessions, we would love some parent volunteers to help the Kindergartens out with gluing and assembling their puppets. If you are interested and have volunteer clearance from the office, please contact me and I can let you know the dates and times!

Our school center is looking great - now to add some of the supplies we discussed!
