Friday Forecast
Hello all,
It was a great week in Kindergarten - we finished up our puppets this week and we are excited to share them with you next Wednesday!
A reminder that the puppet showcase evening will be March 11th at 6pm - please RSVP to the event by heading to this site: https://forms.gle/d8n94CTqb3Y31Fno7 if you haven't yet already!
This week we worked on some more writing! We wrote about what we did at centers on Monday. The students have been doing a great job of making their pictures "big bold and bright." This is a strategy we have been working on in our second "learning cycle."
Yesterday during Art we worked on creating some mandalas. We read the book "Magic Breath" to help us remind ourselves how to take deep breaths as a self-regulation strategy.
We then looked at some mandalas, which we learned are created as a meditation to help relax your mind. Here is what we ended up creating:

We also had a visit from our PT (Physio Therapist) and OT (Occupational Therapist) this week! Our lovely OT Ms. Rose helped us practice circles - these are great to help work pencil grip, and are good practice for forming curve letters (like o, c, d etc.)
Week Ahead
Next week we will be using our puppets to explore some songs and movement to create a short performance that we will film and then showcase at the puppet evening on March 11th. In Math, we are going to re-visit numbers to 10. We are starting to compare numbers, by using the terms "more than," "less than" and "same as." We will keep working on our writing in our Explore Journals, and we will also be looking at some different ways to write letters during our literacy block.
Reminders
1.) Please RSVP for our Puppet Showcase on March 11th @ 6pm if you haven't already!

We promise to return it and you do not need to provide the staples :)
